Business Developer

We are looking for candidates with communication and commercial skills for an international company that launches innovative solutions in the area of ​​smart cities. A company with over 100 years of experience creates a new position to support sales processes for a specialist in the technology industry.

Detailed scope of duties:

  • Lead discovery calls, presentations, and demos
  • Prepare specific client pitch materials, including RFP responses
  • Develop strategies and business plans for meeting growth and revenue milestones
  • Gain a deep understanding of the technology challenges
  • Enable partner success through relationship management, cross-functional planning, and analytical insights and support
  • Create scalable programs for onboarding new partners
  • Collaborate with local sales teams to promote offerings, support, training and consulting

Requirements and competence:

  • 10 years experience in technology driven industries in multi-national context
  • 3 years in business development role
  • Experience in participating, structuring proposals and negotiating big projects/tenders to win
  • Experience in dealing with municipalities and large-scale organizations
  • Experience in working hand-in-hand with ecosystems and external vendors
  • Experience in teaching and/or support sales teams
  • Expertise business development strategies, specifically working in international / multicultural environments
  • Strong skills in consultative selling
  • Knowledge of English and German – fluent
  • Strong commercial drive blended with deep stakeholders management skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to deal with senior execs and politicians as well as lower level collaborators
  • Customer oriented, able to understand and shape customer expectations
  • Results-driven and strong commercial drive, but with purpose
  • Leadership / Executive Posture
  • Being adaptable, flexible and confident
